What We Do
We are a non-profit organization dedicated to developing the field of playwork and theatre for patients and their families in palliative care. Play and theatre create space for sharing emotions, facilitate communication, strengthen family bonds, and support coping with difficult situations.
We were founded in January 2024 thanks to the initiative and financial support of the Vlček Family Foundation. Our work continues their mission to advance children’s palliative care in the Czech Republic — striving for the highest quality and ensuring it is accessible to everyone who needs it.

We support children during hospitalization and at the end of life.
We prepare them for medical procedures, help them understand their diagnosis, teach them strategies for coping with fear and pain, and create a safe environment where they can express their emotions and bridge the gap between home and the unfamiliar hospital setting.

We perform theatre plays for children, their families, and for adults at the end of life.
We bring theatre to people’s homes, hospitals, hospices, and other palliative care facilities. The performances help ease pain, stimulate the senses, and allow families to share moments of joy together — moments that may one day become precious memories.

We lead workshops and seminars on the importance of play for sick children, participate in professional events, conduct research, and publish our findings. We share our expertise and experience with members of multidisciplinary teams as well as with students of nursing schools and medical faculties.
