NOT JUST snack packaging for children in the hospital

If we were to write down what 2025 brought us, the first lines of a long list would belong to words like generosity or belonging. We were once again reminded of how great and helpful people and organizations Vlaštovka is surrounded by and how attentive the community is forming around it.

Our game specialists meet children who are going through all kinds of illnesses and pain (not just physical). In order to communicate with them in all circumstances, they need to be well-equipped. And our supporters help us with that.

Last year, they donated various tools to us, thanks to which we can be even closer to children in their suffering and joys.

We share some of them with you:

Computer for eye communicator

Spektra is a company that deals with aids for visual impairments. It also focuses on solving the most severe forms of disability. By donating a computer to our eye communicator, it has opened up great opportunities for work.

with nonverbal children. Thanks to special technology that detects their eye movements, we can interact with them, enter their world, play and support them in feeling in control and self-sufficiency.

Swallow backpacks

If you've seen our backpacks, you might have thought they looked like they were made just for us. That's right! They were sewn and donated to us by Petra Kubíková. They are based on an elegant cut and high-quality material, and they are always designed in a way that immediately tells you what's inside the backpack. Game specialists, swallows, can see at first glance which backpack to take to which child. And as a bonus: thanks to our logo on the backpack, everyone knows that Swallow has arrived!

Thanks to the Slovak Včelobal, it can be said with exaggeration that they think of us abroad as well. This family business made us fabric waxed snack wrappers at a very reasonable price, which not only smell great, but are extremely practical, especially for children who often get sick, so they bite into an apple a few times and put the rest away. The Včelobal keeps fruit, vegetables, a buttered slice of bread,... fresh even until the next day.

And because the cover fabric is printed with our original illustrations of animals from the hospital (drawn by our PRista Michael Vácha), it also serves as a play tool for children. Parents can give them tasks such as finding a giraffe, counting owls, or using them to tell stories.

Swallow badges

The group of benefactors is closed by the company Alerion from Brno. It is a small Czech company that can do amazing things. It produces and sells banners, flags, ribbons, medals and badges. The Swallows made metal badges to order. Not only did the company Alerion do a great job, but they also made them for us at a friendly price. Our Swallows now wear them proudly on their lapels.

We are grateful that individuals and entire companies support us on our journey. It is very fortunate that we have someone to lean on. Thank you for making sure we are not alone in anything.
