We presented what this profession entails, the impact that play has on sick children and their families, where around the world it is already a natural part of care, and the different forms it can take.

During the meeting, we heard strong support for establishing this profession — something we deeply appreciate. We also see it as a commitment: we will continue doing everything we can to ensure that families receive not only top-quality medical care, but also care for the soul, emotional safety, and overall well-being.

Play work is a field that profoundly transforms the life experience of patients and their loved ones. Play, joy, lightness, and a sense of control over the situation help children preserve what they have an inherent right to — their childhood — even in the most difficult moments.

We ourselves will continue to develop play work with families, educate others, promote its importance among both the general public and professionals, and connect those who are involved in this field.

We’ll be delighted if you join us on this journey! ;-)

Thank you to all the guests who listened with interest, asked questions, and engaged with us. We look forward to taking further steps together toward anchoring this profession within the care system.
